Nadia Ali with her Embers CD
Following the success of her hit singles “Crash and Burn” and “Love Story,” singing sensation Nadia Ali has just released her gem, “Fine Print” from her album Embers. In addition, iTunes will feature previously unreleased versions of “Fine Print” remixed by Serge Devant, tyDi, Alex Sayz and Carl Tricks. Ali’s full length albumEmbers was released worldwide today on her own label, Smile In Bed.
Though it is the 3rd single “Fine Print” marks the first song Nadia wrote for Embers. “The lyrics explore the feeling of bumping into the one that got away but trying to play it cool when you do,” Nadia explains. The lyrics, combined with the perfect music and beat, take you on a journey that fuses pop, melancholy rock and electronica in a manner reminiscent of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
Nadia Ali first burst onto the music scene as the vocalist and songwriter for the electronica group iiO where she earned praise from fans and critics alike for the hit 2001 dance floor anthem “Rapture.” When Nadia left to pursue a solo career in 2005, other heavyweight names in dance music were quick to pursue collaborations with her including Armin Van Buuren, Starkillers, Tocadisco, Sultan and Ned Shepard to name a few. In June 2008, Nadia released her first solo single “Crash and Burn” which became an instant club smash, reaching the top 10 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play Chart. Her follow up single “Love Story” was released earlier this year and topped Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play Chart at #1 in April of 2009.
